The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent wide receiver/kick returner Eddie Drummond.
He was cut by the Lions last week.
Drummond, who is from Pittsburgh, was a star running back for the Linsly School in the late 1990s and played for Joe Paterno at Penn State.
He played in 52 games in the NFL, starting once, during his five-year career. Last season he appeared in 14 games and caught two passes for 10 yards, returned 62 kickoffs for 1,349 yards and 28 punts for 296 yards.
Drummond was selected to his first Pro-Bowl in 2005 as he accumulated 1,092 kickoff return yards with two touchdowns and 316 punt return yards with two touchdowns during the 2004 season.
Drummond is second in Lions franchise history with 5,026 total kickoff return yards. He also has 1,058 punt-return yards and has scored a total of six touchdowns on returns.
