Ney Is now on WVLY.
Story by Jerry Echemann
WHEELING -- A brand new radio show began today featuring former Ohio Congressman Bob Ney.
It airs on WVLY AM 1370.
According to morning host Howard Monroe, Ney will focus on ethics, earmarks, prison reform and Ohio Politics.
In 2006, Ney pleaded guilty to conspiracy and making false statements in connection with a probe into lavish gifts by lobbyists. Ney served 17 months in prison until his release in August of last year.
"The buzz? It's been quite frankly surprising. I expected a lot of negative feedback. Let's face it, the man was the poster child for corruption. While I've gotten some of that it's no where near the amount I expected. So, we'll get the show going and see what happens when the calls start coming in." Monroe told 7News.
The show will air from 1p.m. until 3p.m. on every weekday afternoon.
