Villages and Municipalities will hold elections in West Virginia.

WHEELING -- Voters in more than 130 towns and cities across West Virginia will head to the polls today to choose the men and women who will serve as their municipal leaders.

Elections are being held in almost every county, and most municipalities are using paper ballots and counting those ballots by hand.

Polls open at 6:30 this morning and close at 7:30 tonight.

Some of the races are uncontested.

Voters in Bethlehem, Follansbee, Wellsburg, Friendly, Bethany, Middlebourne, Pine Grove, Valley Grove and Smithfield will all cast ballots today.
