BEALLSVILLE, OHIO --  Two children and their father are injured ,after police say he crashed an a-t-v while under the influence.

It happened between 3 and 3:30 Saturday morning near Verner Ridge in Beallsville according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The children, ages 8 and 12...along with the man were taken to Wheeling hospital for treatment after they went off an embankment.

He was later flown to Ruby Memorial according to police.

you know what me and my dad have gone four wheeler riding before and he had a few but that doesnt mean that caused the accident. four wheelers are dangerous on their own. so you ppl who commented should just shut up because mistakes are made, maybe he over took a turn or something it probably had nothing to do with alcohol. so dont say poor kids, cuz i dont mind when my dad does.

Typical strikes again. I believe Pastor in the last sentence is a name and should, therefore, be capitalized.

Proof read WTRF... Spell Check is not enough.

This kind of behavior cannot be stopped until there are laws that make it too expensive to continue behaving in this manner. Any one caught drinking while operating an atv should have the machine taken off them and auctioned at a county auction. There should be fines that are so expensive that it would make it clear that reckless operations of atv's as well as other motorized vehicles , will not be tolerated. I realize that you can't legislate stupidity but making this kind of dangerous behavior too expensive might deter some of it.

I would certainly think that charges would be filed. Might know that alcohol was involved. Those poor kids. Wonder what else they have been thru. Some people just don't deserve kids. Sickening.

Can someone tell me why a man would have his children on an ATV before 4 a.m.? Drunk? Goofing around? Hope the right people are brought in to investigate this accident. Sounds to me like some negligence was going on.
