WHEELING -- The investigation continues into the body of a man found in the Ohio River on Saturday. New details are being released about a possible identification.
The roommate of a 35-year-old Jacobsburg, Ohio man believes the description of the man found dead in the Ohio River matches that of his roommate who suffers from medical problems and left his home sometime very early Wednesday morning.
According to the missing man's brother he left his apartment, on 5th street in Wheeling, without shoes, his driver’s license, or his medication.
Wheeling police could not confirm that the body found, over the weekend, was that of the missing Jacobsburg man, but have confirmed a report for a missing man matching the description of the body found in Ohio County.
Authorities said the investigation is still on-going and they are waiting on the medical examiners' report before they will make any conclusions.
7News has decided not to release the name of the missing man due to the fact he may be linked to the body found. The investigation continues.... Stick with 7News for the very latest.
