Smithfield, Ohio -- The 37th Annual Apple Festival in Smithfield, Ohio will kick off Friday afternoon at 4:30p.m.

Festival organizers promise more entertainment and activities this year.

There will be a parade, a 5k race, a hot-dog eating contest, and of course the annual apple bake off. The annual bed race begins at 5p.m. Sunday evening and will conclude the festivities.
