NEW PHILADELPHIA -- On Friday, an indictment came down from the Tuscarawas Grand Jury for Zachary R. Ellwood, age 23, of 1337 Kaderly Street N.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio for one count of Trafficking in Drugs.

Detectives had received information in 2008 that Ellwood was involved with selling illegal narcotics in and around the Dover and New Philadelphia areas. Law Enforcement Against Drugs or L.E.A.D detectives were able to develop the information and coordinate a controlled undercover buy of Oxycodone from Ellwood at his home, according to a news release.

Ellwood was served with a fourth degree felony charge in the Tuscarawas County Jail where he is currently serving a sentence of 120 days for charges of Possession of Drug Instruments and Drug Paraphernalia out of New Philadelphia Municipal Court.
