HOPEDALE, Ohio -- Former Hopedale, Ohio police chief Ronald Bone pleaded not guilty regarding charges involving alleged sex acts with a teen boy.

Bone went before Judge Michael Nunner in Harrison County on Thursday, Oct. 29.

IBone allegedly had sex with the 17-year-old male while in uniform at police headquarters. He was released Thursday on his own recognizance and has been ordered to have no contact with the teen.

The alleged incidents resulted in 10 separate charges ranging from rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition.

He resigned as chief Aug. 31 of this year.

Bone has also been put under house arrest and can only leave for mental and dental appointments.
