Steubenville Big Red advanced in the Ohio Division III playoffs with a 34-26 over the Marlington Dukes at Harding Stadium.
Big Red quarterback Dwight Macon ran for two scores and passed for another in the win. He finished the game with 233 yards passing.
Steubenville advances to the second round where they have a date with Salem, an overtime winner over Granville.
Also in Division III, Buckeye Local was upset by Canal Fulton Northwest 28-20 at World War II Memorial Stadium in Yorkville. It was the first home playof game in Buckeye Local history.
The loss ended the long career of Panthers head coach Ron Pobolish, who announced his retirement before the season started.
Bukeye Local senior fullback Brandon Bartrug scored three touchdowns.
Canal Fulton NW advances to the next round where they'll face Dover, a 42-0 winner over Harrison Central.
