Story by Scott Northcraft

QUAKER CITY, Ohio -- Emergency crews responded to the scene of a vehicle accident on Interstate 70 at exit 193 near Quaker City late Saturday night.

A dispatcher at the Ohio Highway Patrol said he was not aware of the number of vehicles involved.

The dispatcher did say the accident involved a commercial vehicle.

The dispatcher added that a vehicle was on fire and that there was an instance of entrapment.

It is not clear if the vehicle on fire was the same vehicle that crews responded to the instance of entrapment.

A medical helicopter also was used to transport a patient to a hospital.

We passed this accident going the opposite direction on I-70. It was one of the most horrific looking accidents I had ever seen. I am so thankful to hear it was not fatal. This driver has an angel on his/her shoulder Saturday night.

This accident happened right in front of me. The Toyota that was heading east for whatever reason crossed over the median and underneath the rear axle of the tractor trailer. It was one of the worst accidents I ever witnessed and was sure it was fatal. I was told the woman driving was conscious and was going to be ok. I hope this is true.
