Bridgeport Preview and WVU Football and Basketball Updates

Story by Scott Grayson

Bridgeport hosts George Washington in a state quarterfinal rematch from a year ago. George Washington won that meeting. Bridgeport will look for revenge 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The West Virginia Mountaineers will return to action next Friday in a little something they call the Backyard Brawl.

WVU played tough in a loss last week at Cincinnati.

It was a bit of a throwback for Jarrett Brown as he appeared to return to his early season form making plays with his legs and his arm.

It is a long season and Brown admits that part of the reason for that difference was his desire to have fun on the football field.

The WVU men's basketball team met with the media Friday afternoon.

Of course the hot topic was Devin Ebanks and once again Head Coach Bob Huggins did not say much about Ebanks.

He did say he still does not know when Ebanks will return to the lineup.

Kevin Jones got the start in his absence against Loyola University. Jones is also his roomate and he says Ebanks congratulated him on taking his place in the starting lineup.
