HUNTINGTON -- National law firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP opened its first office in West Virginia on Dec. 1.
The office is in Huntington and marks Nelson Mullins’ 12th office in the United States, according to a news release from the firm.
Three well-known West Virginia attorneys, including Marc E. Williams, Robert Massie and Melissa Foster Bird, will staff Nelson Mullins’ Huntington office. Most recently, Williams, Massie and Bird were partners at Huddleston Bolen, which is also in Huntington.
Williams recently completed a term as president of the DRI, an international organization of corporations and attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation. The DRI has 23,000 members.
Williams, Massie and Bird all have extensive litigation practices. “This new office is geographically a good fit for us because of our current work for clients in West Virginia,” said Nelson Mullins Managing Partner David Dukes.
Nelson Mullins has more than 400 attorneys and legislative professionals throughout the firm practicing in more than 50 areas of law. It is the nation’s 139th largest law firm in gross revenue, according to research conducted by The American Lawyer.
Nelson Mullins’ Huntington office is located at 949 Third Ave., Suite 200.
