Shadyside Family Loses Everything to Fire Days Before Christmas

A man who was living there smelled smoke and got everyone out safely.

SHADYSIDE,Ohio -- A fire broke out today in the kitchen area of a house on 60959 Cherry Lane in Shadyside, Ohio.

Firefighters arrived quickly but the fire spread throughout the house destroying the structure.

The man who lived their with a woman and two girls, smelled smoke and everyone got out safely.

They lost everything including all of their Christmas presents, which they had to leave behind.

The fire marshal was scheduled to arrive on the scene Dec. 21 to determine how this fire started.

The family needs help.

They are in need of girl's shirts sizes large and extra large, junior sizes 9 and 13,and shoes size 7 1/2 and 9 1/2.

You can also donate women's clothing; shirt size XXXL, pants in sizes 24 and 26 and shoe size 10.

And men's clothing, size 36 by 34, 40 by 34, and 29 by 30.

All donations can be sent to Donna at Mehl's Garage, 206 Howard St., Bridgeport, OH 43912.

i hate to here about this kind of stuff happening to people specialty at this time of the year. when this stuff happens this is when the community needs to come together to help these people in need. Specialty at christmas time if everybody could give a gift to them to tell them them know we as a community we care.

Hi i was one of the girls in the fire..I was the one who called 911....i dont live there i was visiting my friend who does.And me and my friend were in the basement and barely made it out we lost everything! if there is anyway anyone can help us plzz contact my email.. { MFSwimbabe13@yahoo.com }

It was a terrible thing for us to go through specailly at our age. I can remember leaving the house with no shoes sweats and no jacket and thats all that i have out of it..I lost almost all my xmas stuff..i had about all of it there to wear.. It was crazy..we think we lost a cat and we know we lost our 2 lizzards just if you can anyone help us! This Christmas is going to be terrible but we will all try to make the best out of it for us.
